2 large egg whites
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 pinch cream of tartar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 (12-ounce) package or 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 package candy sprinkles (optional)
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Grease or line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Using an electric mixer, beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in chocolate morsels 1/2 cup at a time.
Drop mixture by level tablespoon onto prepared baking sheets. Sprinkle lightly with candy sprinkles, if desired.
