2 ½ cups frozen strawberries
½ cup sugar
2/3 cup whipping cream

Combine the frozen strawberries and sugar in a food processor or blender.  Process until the fruit is roughly chopped — the mixture should be chunky and not completely pureed.

With the processor running, slowly add the whipping cream until the mixture is thick, smooth and creamy. You may have to stop the machine once or twice to scrape down the sides.

Serve immediately or transfer to a container and place in the freezer so that it firms up slightly before serving. It can be kept in the freezer for up to a week.
