Making these irresistibly delicious balls can even become a fun and exciting activity for kids who will surely love getting their hands "dirty" mixing and forming the ingredients into balls! Here is an easy dessert recipe for Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Balls.

Ingredients:

1 cup Confectioner's sugar
1 cup Peanut butter
1/2 cup chopped dates (or raisins)
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts (such as almonds, cashews, pecans, macadamia)
Chocolate chips, enough for melting and coating

Procedures:

Place the first four ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine to create a sticky dough. You can use a wooden spoon but bare clean hands work best!

Form the mixture into 1-inch balls and place in a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Refrigerate the balls to harden and set, about an hour.

When the balls are ready, melt the chocolate chips in a double boiler. Alternatively, you can place the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and pop in the microwave on medium heat for a couple of minutes.

Using a fork, drop the hardened peanut butter balls into the molten chocolate and roll until entirely covered with chocolate. Let excess chocolate drip back to the bowl and place the ball back into the parchment paper-lined cookie sheet. Put the chocolate delights back in the freezer to set.

Just before serving, place each ball into a miniature paper cup and arrange in a serving platter.
